We have been going to imlee for several years and are appalled by the bad reviews here. Imlee is our absolute favorite restaurant and we have never had anything to complain about with the food. We would be really very sad if the restaurant doesn't make it through the Corona crisis. The portions are big enough and you can easily divide the different dishes to have more choice. However, it is usually not enough to take the rest with you. The waiters are nice and competent (so far they always got the right one) and definitely not unfriendly. If we could only eat in one restaurant for the rest of our lives, it would be imlee.

Best Indian restaurant in Bochum! Authentic food in a pleasant atmosphere! Also very suitable for picking up. Attention: only cash payment possible, we gladly accept that with the great meal!

Highly recommended. Finally some really spicy food and very tasty spices. All dishes tasted good to fantastic. The sharpness ordered (up to "level 6") was convincing and the levels of sharpness were easy to distinguish. We will definitely come back again and enjoy eating up and down the menu.

My husband and I are absolutely pleasantly surprised. We'll all come back in any case. In the restaurant you get both: Sympathetic and brisk waiters. Find the restaurant suitable for all kinds of events, irrespective of whether with colleagues, friends or clan; Most of the taste here is a treat. The portions are an appealing and filling league.

We were finally back at Imlee. As always, the food was very, very tasty and fresh! The service was, as usual, very attentive, charming, quick and always had a funny saying on the lips. The large selection of vegan and vegetarian dishes is also great! The food is (luckily) very mild but still very aromatic. If you wish, it can of course also be hot and spicy. We recommend! We have never been disappointed. A big thank you to the Imlee team ❤️

I ate the best eggplant dish in my life. The service was excellent. There were no long waiting times as is usual. That was the first and not the last time.

Nice little restaurant with very, very delicious food :) Unfortunately, the garlic naan got way too much garlic, but starters and main courses were great! Very good selection of dishes, also with a lot of vegetarian / vegan dishes :)

We felt ripped off: We ordered twice in this restaurant. The first time my Indian roommate ordered and everything was fine. The second time I ordered in german for my birthday and instead of freshly made garlic naan for 20€ (which we ordered there the first time and it was good) they gave us cheap and normal roti. When my Indian roommate came to collect the food they felt bad and gave her a Mango Lassi for free, which kinda makes it worse because it means they did this purposefully. Also, the quantity of the paneer was not as much. I feel very sorry for this bad review because the staff seemed friendly. But I honestly felt ripped off. If they couldn't make it in time they should have told us. But taking 20€ for roti that seemed store bought for 2€ and selling it as garlic naan is not worth more than a star. I was especially disappointed because the garlic naan was actually the main reason we ordered there.

The place is always nice and we had a nice afternoon there. The place is really very nicely furnished. No cheap decoration, instead there was a lot of really good looking color coordinated with each other. The service is always eager and unceasingly gallant! From the taste, everything is a delight. Quantities are an appealing and filling dimension.

Enjoyed the Indian food from a restaurant after a while. Good hospitality, yummy 😋 and quality food. Limited menu but that fulfill what we need. Great atmosphere to enjoy the time and food. They do have open to sky dining... But it is slightly high priced IMO but love to have food from here. Finding parking may not be easy. Located near by a bus stop. This is North Indian style Cuisine and not South Indian.

I wonder why I've only tried the restaurant for 5 years since I've been living here. Ordered and picked up food for the first time on Friday. In the current situation very unproblematic and absolutely friendly reception. I have to say, absolute highlight. The food was delicious and satiated for a long time. I will order there more often, or eat there when the crisis is over.

I don't know, but we came in and asked if we could have a table for two. Without even looking a us, the waiter shouted: "No", and went on with whatever he was doing. We left and had a great Greek dinner at the opposite site of the street.

We went here to celebrate birthday of one of my friend, and we had absolutely great experience. The restaurant is specious and had nice ambience. Outdoor seating arrangement is also available. So one can enjoy summer having nice Indian food. A great variety of food is available. Most importantly, whatever food we ordered had authentic Indian taste. I was little disappointed with Lassi. Compared to other dishes that we ordered, Lassi was not so great. The owner was very friendly and the overall service was good. We got our food within 10 mins after we placed an order. If you want to try authentic Indian food in Bochum, you can visit this place!

Best Indian restaurant in Bochum. We enjoyed lamb curry & butter chicken with crispy garlic naan during last visit. Dishes are moderately priced, though quantity of rice served is low for the price. Still we can overlook that for the taste. Restaurant accepts only cash and is out of town. Need a car. There is a bus stop nearby with less frequency from City.

If you’re craving Indian food, this is the restaurant you need to visit. The restaurant is quite small but cozy. Therefore reservations are highly recommend. The parking is limited to four cars but there’s plenty of parking on Wasserstrasse. Once you enter you’re greeted by the family that owns and runs the restaurant. They are a very lovely family. Their food is amazing. My favorite are the samosas and their vegetarian options are equally as delicious as the dishes with meat. Indian food is full of flavor and spices. The food that they serve at Imlee is incredibly good.
